Job description

Job Duties:

This position serves as the Child and Adolescent Fellowship Coordinator as well as the Internal Medicine/Psychiatric (Med-Psych) Residency Training Coordinator and is responsible for assisting the Program Directors with day-to-day administration of the fellowship and resident training program. The coordinator reports to the Program Directors and the Office of Graduate Medical Education, and functions as a chief liaison between the Office of Graduate Medical Education, other BSOM departments, Residents, Fellows, Department Administration, remote training sites, various ECU Health administrative departments, and the Fellowship Director and Med-Psych Residency Training Director. As the primary contact for the residents and fellows, the coordinator is responsible for implementation and reporting of various program requirements, interpreting and communicating policy, and developing solutions for unprecedented or unusual problems.

Currently, hours of clinic operation are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with an altered schedule certain times of the year or the opportunity to earn compensatory time.

The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is affiliated with ECU Health Medical Center, which serves as it's teaching hospital, as well as the flagship hospital for ECU Health.

Employment in this position provides eligibility to participate in the UNC Optional Retirement Program ( ORP ) which offers matching employer contributions and employee control of investment choices, along with eligibility to participate in various Voluntary Supplemental Retirement Plans (401k, 403b. 457). This position is not eligible to participate in the NC Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System ( TSERS ). Additionally, this position offers multiple voluntary options for Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance as well as various supplemental plans including Critical Illness, Flexible Spending Accounts, Cancer, and Disability.
