What you will be doin g:
As part of a n impressive multidisciplinary team , you’ll be a key contributor in the area of new materials design and development with an initial emphasis on z eolites for carbon capture with broad future ambitions in rapid materials discover y .
P ropose new synthesis routes for zeolites and comprehend computational models to understand suggested zeolite targets.
Work independently in the laboratory leading experimental synthesis of new zeolites and porous inorganic materials. You will work hands -on as well as supervise technicians.
Conduct materials analysis, interpret data, and present findings internally and externally.
Develop safety and experimental procedures.
Grasp computational models to propose new synthesis routes for zeolites.
Scale-up synthesis to pilot or production levels.
Collaborate frequently with engineers and scientists who will take responsibility for testing materials in new applications, a process design engineer, a computation chemist, and lab technicians.
What you will bring to this company :
Bring your passion for innovation along with,
PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science with a focus on zeolites/porous materials synthesis.
2 to 7 years of industrial experience ( a post doc in synthetic inorganic chemistry is relevant experience )
Proficiency in synthesizing new zeolites, proposing novel synthesis routes , and scale-up to pilot plant level.
Ability to comprehend computational models.
Quick learning and teaching abilities.
Willingness to work onsite at the laboratory 5 days a week.
Authorized to work in the USA .
Additional experiences that would be a plus but not required :
Experience in Direct Air Capture, CO2 Capture, & Gas Separations, including membrane gas separation.
Patents that demonstrate an ability in discovery & synthesis of new materials .
Proficiency in using computational chemistry to guide materials synthesis.
Experience interpreting analytical data : XRD, XR F , BET, SEM, TGA, TPD, DSC, ICP, AA
