Job Description:
The complete life cycle of our products involves supply chain development, research and development, manufacturing, testing, and distribution. Our dedicated team of scientists, engineers, metallurgical experts, manufacturers, and managers consistently work together and devise strategies to enhance and create new materials to meet a diverse array of semiconductor needs for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in quality engineering activities directed towards suppliers to support quality requirements, ensuring effective transmission and customer requirements to our suppliers and sub-suppliers.
- Serve as a hands-on Quality Engineer within the supply chain.
- Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) to establish supplier process control and assess process capability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the quality of incoming products.
- Assist in the planning and execution of the supplier assessment process, including capability assessments, pre- and post-award reviews, process assessments, and quality planning activities.
- Lead and conduct supplier audits and scorecards.
- Participate in supplier risk assessments alongside procurement and engineering, contributing to the development of mitigation plans aimed at reducing, eliminating, and preventing supplier product defects.
- Ensure the review, approval, monitoring, and implementation of root cause corrective actions through the proper use of tools such as 8D, 5Why, and fishbone problem-solving activities.
- Lead and actively participate in cross-functional teams to instigate process improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of employing Statistical Process Control (SPC) and sophisticated data analysis techniques to enhance and regulate processes in a manufacturing setting.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data for trends and present findings through reporting and presentations to drive cross-functional activities.
- Willingness to engage in international travel for supplier audits. Bilingual proficiency (Japanese, Asian) is considered an advantage.
