Responsibilities:

As a Middleware Architect, you will play a pivotal role in the design and support of our Middleware systems, encompassing containerized J2EE Tomcat environments, F5 Big-IP, and FSU's CAS single sign-on solution. Your responsibilities include:

Developing architectural design solutions for complex legacy applications and cloud-based solutions.
Researching and designing new solutions while enhancing existing systems.
Providing project management leadership, coordinating tasks, and delivering regular updates to stakeholders.
Optimizing the performance and reliability of supported application platforms.
Ensuring adherence to best practices for change management and security.
Reviewing and assessing security of existing applications, systems, and processes.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a qualified candidate with:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent with six years of experience, or a high school diploma with ten years of relevant experience.
Preferred experience with Linux systems, F5 BigIP, Apache Tomcat, container platforms (Docker and Kubernetes), AWS and/or Azure clouds, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and systems architecture.
Cloud Architecture certification (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
