Position: Electrical Project Manager
All Type Electric Inc. (ATE) has an opening for a project manager. The project manager plays an integral role in the completion of the assigned projects within ATE. This position involves coordinating with various stake holders, including clients, contractors, suppliers and other team members to ensure that the electrical installation meets the intent of the project scope and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) requirements. By effectively managing resources, schedules and project scopes, the project manager ensures that assigned projects are executed efficiently, addressing any challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle. Their expertise not only contributes to the technical aspects of the electrically engineered projects, but also enhances team collaboration, site safety requirements, client satisfaction and project profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct project kickoff meetings to ensure successful transition from estimating to site supervisor.
- Material procurement, including detailed shop drawing review, analysis and submission.
- Ensure ATE and site specific protocols and standards are followed.
- Set clear goals and expectations for site supervisor.
- Conduct site progress meetings as and when required, with clients and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Regular communication with site supervisors regarding materials, delivery, personnel and schedule changes.
- Manage all financial aspects of projects and notify ATE executives of any discrepancies from estimate to project execution.
- Estimate change orders for assigned projects when required.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, engineers within our industry.
- Manage project closeout procedures, including inspections, QA/QC documentation and O&M Manuals.
- Assists with the recruitment and interviewing of potential field personnel.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by ATE executives.
Requires:
- A valid Alberta Journeyperson Certificate and / or Inter Provincial designation.
- Minimum of 5years relevant experience, project management, project coordinator or site supervisory role.
- Proficient computer skills for use of project management software and tools, including Accubid estimating program.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code. (CEC)
- Self - motivated, strong work ethic with a desire to excel in professional development.
- Strong leadership, communication and skills working with internal and external teams and people.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
