Overview:

The Director of the Illinois Migrant Education Services at NIU is responsible for all aspects of the project funded through Title I Part C funds by the Illinois State Board of Education. The Director is responsible for the contract deliverables being on time while being delivered with high quality and within budget. Migratory farmworkers and their children are identified and enrolled in educational services provided by the project to ensure that this vulnerable population across the state of Illinois will graduate from high school.

Position Summary:

This position is focused on the delivery of the statewide migrant educational program for migratory farmworkers and their children across Illinois. There are six deliverables within the project:


The director must be fully bilingual in Spanish (both oral and writing fluency) and have a masters degree in a related field. There are 6 full time and several part-time employees to supervise and evaluate.
