Job description

Job Title: Part-Time Arborist

Location: Lubbock Country Club

Position Overview: Are you passionate about preserving the natural beauty of landscapes and ensuring the health of trees? Lubbock Country Club is seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time Arborist to join our team. As an Arborist, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the aesthetics of our prestigious golf course and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tree Health Assessment: Conduct regular assessments of the health and condition of trees on the property. Identify and diagnose diseases, pests, and other issues affecting tree vitality.

2. Pruning and Trimming: Perform precise pruning and trimming activities to enhance the overall appearance of trees and promote healthy growth.

3. Planting and Transplanting: Assist in the planning and execution of tree planting projects, ensuring proper selection of species and locations. Handle the transplantation of trees as needed.

4. Tree Removal: Safely and efficiently remove hazardous or damaged trees. Coordinate with team members to ensure the proper disposal of debris.

5. Pest and Disease Management: Implement effective pest and disease control measures to safeguard the trees on the property.

6. Soil Analysis and Fertilization: Conduct soil tests and recommend appropriate fertilization programs to maintain optimal soil conditions for tree growth.

7. Emergency Response: Be available for emergency response in case of storm damage or other unforeseen events affecting trees.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience as an Arborist.

· Knowledge of tree species, diseases, pests, and proper arboricultural practices.

· Familiarity with equipment and tools used in tree care, including chainsaws, pruning shears, and climbing gear.

· Certification as an Arborist or similar credentials are a plus.

· Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, averaging 20-29 hours per week.

Salary:

· $26.00-$30.00/hour
