Job description

Join our team at Mississippi Behavioral Health Services, LLC, a leading Community Mental Health Center/Private Provider. We are seeking a dedicated Day Treatment/PSR Therapist who is passionate about providing comprehensive therapy to our clients. The ideal candidate will be flexible, creative, and enjoy working with diverse client populations. This role reports to the Behavioral Health Supervisor, Clinical Director, and Corporate Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients in the Day Treatment/PSR programs.
• Operate programs in accordance with client needs, psychological abilities, and written treatment plans.
• Support the PSR program by assisting adult participants with daily living skills training.
• Communicate effectively and provide culturally competent treatment services to diverse client populations.
• Participate in the multi-disciplinary Treatment Team and attend weekly meetings.
• Maintain appropriate contact with parents/guardians/case managers related to each client's treatment needs.
• Evaluate and report on each client's progress for review by the Treatment Team.
• Provide case management services and maintain compliance with confidentiality.
• Master proprietary software, including electronic health record system.

Qualifications

• A Master of Social Work degree or a Master of Arts, Science or Education degree in a mental health related field.
• DMH credentialed as a Certified Mental Health Therapist or Provisionally Certified Mental Health Therapist.
• Ability to participate in physical activities such as recess, recreational outings, and crisis intervention.
• Knowledge of community resources and treatment agencies for appropriate client referrals.
• Valid MS driver's license.
