Director of Sales – Cabinet Manufacturer/Distributor – Base Salary to 100k/year – Elk Grove Village, IL
- Our client is a prominent kitchen cabinet direct manufacturer distributor and wholesaler that is committed to delivering impeccable quality and pricing for their ready-to-assemble cabinets. They are a partner in creating beautiful and functional kitchens throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana.
- The Director of Sales will be a key player on this local team in Elk Grove Village. Our client is looking for an individual with a strong business development acumen, that can help develop and manage a more streamlined sales process. The Director of Sales will need to have excellent relationship-building skills with our clients and be able to manage a growing sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive US sales strategy, ensuring achievement of revenue, expense, and profit targets.
- Lead overall business performance, providing guidance for market sales activities and employing diverse methods for target achievement and successful payment collection.
- Proactively identify and capitalize on business opportunities, cultivating new customer relationships and nurturing key accounts for continuous sales growth.
- Stay informed about market trends, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry dynamics, and provide valuable insights to shape business development strategies.
- Lead negotiations, contract signings, and address customer complaints to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of industry customers, fostering strong relationships, understanding evolving needs, and establishing collaborative partnerships.
- Collaborate as a business sales partner, assisting in tasks assigned by the Country Head to contribute to overall business success.
- Will be involved with arranging inventory orders and have knowledge of what to order, when to order, and quantity to order.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a Territory Sales Manager or Sales Director position
- Must have experience leading/managing sales teams
- Proven leadership, experience surpassing sales targets and helping to grow a department
- Extensive experience in key account sales specifically related to residential or commercial cabinetry
- Software: must have experience with Design 2020 software
- Must have experience with Microsoft office suite
- Experience overseeing estimates and quotes generated by sales teams to present to potential and existing clients
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 100k/year depending on years of experience and cabinet industry knowledge
- Commission structure – negotiable depending on prior commission structure and experience
- Mileage reimbursement with company cell phone and laptop provided
