Job description
Serves as the Fort Johnson Personal Property Section Supervisor and central source of expertise on Transportation entitlements and Personal Property shipments for temporary duty, Permanent Change of Station, Separation, and/or Retirement moves. Provides direct supervision over the Personal Property Section. Provides oversight for employees performing clerical and general administration support to staff and provide general customer assistance and direction to proper personnel. Compose various reports for Manager for approval/submission.
Position requires the ability to work independently, receiving a minimum of detailed supervision and guidance. Responsible for a team that executes filing, phone calls, scheduling appointments, conduct briefings, and making transportation arrangements. Must have experience and judgment in selecting procedures for interpreting data to be entered in a variety of documentations and web applications. Arrange, schedule, and coordinate various types of personal property shipments ensuring the proper documents are signed and distributed to the proper personnel and maintained per regulations.
Must have web-based knowledge for data entry of information provided and transportation of personal property regulations and guidelines for area. Must be able to interact with customers and brief them on their transportation entitlements and how to prepare for the movement of their household goods.
