Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for growth within the lab industry! Lighthouse Laboratory Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Time  LCMS Technical Supervisor to join our laboratory in Mooresville, NC.  

The Technical Supervisor will be responsible for operating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the toxicology laboratory, sample prep and processing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality testing services, and  daily laboratory operations.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures   
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines   
• Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance    
• Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals   
• Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications   
• Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests are properly functioning   
• Providing training to all testing personnel   
• Annually evaluating and documenting the performance of all testing personnel   
• Perform other duties as directed 

Qualifications:

• B.S. in chemistry, physics, toxicology, biochemistry, biological science, clinical laboratory science, or related field.
• Qualify as testing personnel and General Supervisor under CLIA guidelines and have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing 
• MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred 
• Experience with Agilent 6400 series preferred
• Previous experience with toxicology sample prep 
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
