This position is only open to current Residents of Colorado.
Incumbent will be required to complete work for CDE within Colorado.

Position Summary: The BI Manager develops and implements information management strategies. Coordinates and manages information management solutions. Scopes, plans, and prioritizes multiple projects. Manages all aspects of the warehouses such as data sourcing, migration, quality, design, and implementation. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide direction for diverse and complex initiatives and accountability for a variety of tasks to architect and deliver data warehousing solutions that exceed customer expectations in content, usability, accuracy, reliability and performance.
• Manage and lead the CDE data warehouse team.
• Collaborate and partner with technical and business teams to accomplish the following:
o Define requirements
o Propose strategies for joint report development,
o Plan implementation steps required,
o Develop and manage to budget,
o Deliver solutions per requirements.
• Prepare and present Gap analyses as needed, for technology and business solutions for audiences up to CIO level.
• Manage and support all project related architecture, design, development, and deployment of data-oriented integration across platform and projects.
• Manage project and operational deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines, specifications, and budgets.
• Monitor and track team progress and reports findings to leadership team.
• Ensure all data warehouse developers keep current with technological developments within the industry. Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products.
• Provide active technical coaching and management support for the warehouse team staff and mentor others across the organization.
• Implement performance metrics and report on team effectiveness.
• Provide overall direction to the team members assigned to their designated projects. Prioritize tasks, delegate assignments and evaluate performance of the entire project team.
• Work independently, assume responsibility for job development and training, research and resolve questions and problems, requests manager input and keeps manager informed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years managing an enterprise data warehouse or similar role.
- Expert knowledge of both relational database and dimensional data warehouse best practices
- Strong understanding and previous hands-on working knowledge with some of the following software components: Linux, Shell Scripting, Informatica, SQL, and Oracle Database.
- Knowledge in data warehousing methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent oral, written, analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
- Effective interpersonal relations skills, ability to effectively collaborate with others and work as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience collaborating and partnering with technical and business team to present, define, strategies, requirement, road-map, budget, solution.
- Experience presenting strategies, road-map and gap analysis, for technology and business solution up-to CIO level.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- The ability to pass a background check.
Preferred: - Experience in the K12 education industry.
- Experience in building data mart/data warehouses from scratch.
- Experience in evaluating various technological solutions to solve business requirements.
- Hands on experience on BI tools like Cognos, OBIEE, Tableau, MicroStrategy etc.
