JOB TITLE (#2790): Certified Surgical Technologist - Franklin, TN
Minimum of 1 year experience
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Certified Surgical First Assistant to fill an opening with a surgery center located in Franklin, Tennessee
Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
- Must have a GED or High School diploma
- Must have 1 year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have a CPR certification
- Must be NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technician or other equivalent
- Must have at least 1 year of experience
Benefits of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
- The salary for this position is$43,500 - $70,250 / yr
- Benefits are competitive and negotiable
Schedule of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
- This is a Full-time position
- Facility Hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Position Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week
Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
- Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures and the scrub tech's role in performing these procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its use in the surgical environment
- Demonstrates knowledge of surgical scrub technician duties before, during, and after the surgical case
- Assembles supplies, equipment, instruments, and all necessary items for scheduled surgical procedures in accordance with physician's preference cards.
- Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, center/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
- Maintains and updates instrument cards/tray lists and surgeon's preference cards regularly
- Follows the center's exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
- Reports observed or suspected breaks in sterile technique and act according to policy.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a center/unit team inter- and intra-center to facilitate the center's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Maintains accurate documentation related to all sterilization records, cleaning forms, logs, and the like
- Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
