Job description
OCDE's Business Services Division delivers services to support the educational programs of Orange County school districts, partnering agencies, and the business community it serves. The division strives to improve efficiency and implement business solutions with a high level of customer service and professionalism, while fostering a collaborative work environment.
The Business Services Division is looking for an experienced individual to serve as Project Accountant in our Schoolbase Medi-Cal Administrative Activities (SMAA) unit to perform a variety of duties such as: reconciliations, auditing, implementation, fund accounting, and monitoring to ensure compliance with established SACS parameters and funding source requirements. The Project Accountant will also prepare multiple state apportionments, journal entries to correct discrepancies, and prepare and submit financial reports to the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS). The selected candidate will advise, assist, and train OCDE program support to meet the Division's expectations.
