The Oregon Sea Grant is seeking a salaried Academic Wage: Coordinator-Research and Scholars position. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, fixed-term position. This position is being filled on a temporary basis to cover while an employee is on protected leave. The position is anticipated to end on August 31, 2024, or upon return of the on leave employee. This position does not carry an expectation of continued appointment to the position or continued employment at Oregon State University.

This position reports to the Oregon Sea Grant ( OSG ) Associate Director for Research and Scholars to support development and execution of Oregon Sea Grant's competitive research process, coordinate the Student Scholars Program, prepare proposal and project budgets related to National Sea Grant Office funding, assess and write outcome reports related to that funding, and manage the program development process and projects (reporting to the OSG Director).

The position also writes reports and proposals, prepares presentations, and works on special projects to grow Oregon Sea Grant and implement the Oregon Sea Grant Strategic Plan.

This position may involve occasional travel to conferences and meetings in Newport, Oregon and other coastal and in-state locations.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OAR 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self- report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.
