Job description
We are looking for a Furnace Operator for a manufacturing partner specializing in exotic metal applications within the medical, nuclear, aerospace, and industrial markets. You will operate, load, and maintain vacuum furnace using controller to ensure products are heat treated to meet customer specifications. M to F, morning shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load furnace and operate all equipment and machinery to ensure quality and productivity standards are achieved.
- Set and monitor required furnace levels of controller to achieve desired results.
- Monitor all aspects of furnace operation to ensure parameters remain within specification requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
- Read and interpret traveler instructions, procedures, and drawings. Measure dimensional tolerance using proper tools and equipment.
- May perform routine maintenance and may recommend effective and efficient process updates.
- Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with coworkers, understand, and follow work rules and procedures, comply with company policies and procedures, goals, and objectives, and accepts constructive feedback.
- Other duties as assigned, requested, or needed.
Requirements and Skills:
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
- At least 1 year of Furnace Operator experinece or related machinery experience.
- Ability to operate, control and watch gauges, dials or other indicators.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring devices.
- Ability to use basic mathematical equations.
