Position Purpose: Under direct supervision, receives funds from customers and records monetary transactions. Counts money to verify amounts. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: - Records payments received into the lockbox
- Deposits payments received at the location by sending checks to the lockbox
- Records batches and applies to invoices
- Research and resolve over and short payments
- Contacts vendors to resolve problems relating to payments
- Research and resolves unapplied cash
- Monitors unapplied cash and take measures to minimize
- Makes sure that cash transactions are properly recorded

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: 6 - 12 Months in accounting, accounting admin support or related area and cash handling.
10 key experience
Windows experience (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and Equivalent Experience in accounting related courses
Experience: 1 - 2 Years in accounting, accounting admin support or related area and cash handling.
10 key experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to details
Utilize computer software specific to the department
Superior time management skills
Cash handling experience
