About the Role

As an Industrial Designer with 2-4 years of experience, you will play a pivotal role in our Industrial Design Team supporting GP PRO''s new product development efforts in Atlanta, GA. You will take part in helping to transform our product portfolio and user experience. This role requires strong collaboration with our category and insights teams located at our Atlanta headquarters and engineering team in Neenah, Wisconsin to develop innovative product solutions for towel, tissue, skincare, and foodservice categories. These solutions will range from physical products to experiences and digital interfaces. In this role, one primary responsibility is actively engaging in the early-stages of innovation, which will include in-field immersion and observation, brainstorming, concept generation, and illustration. You will be tasked with developing a range of alternative concepts that address unmet needs identified through insights. Another responsibility will be collaborating with design peers and leadership to drive concepts from the early stages of innovation to developing final design solutions that adhere to our visual brand language, manufacturing constraints, and ensuring the insight-led features remain intact in the final product.

What You Will Do

Participate in early-stage innovation, including in-field immersion, observation, brainstorming, concept generation, and illustration
Collaborate closely with marketing, insights, category, and R&D teams - Apply user insights and voice of the customer (VOC) to create innovative design solutions
Develop features and product concepts, focusing on creating valuable intellectual property
Execute designs in alignment with brand strategies and guidelines
Share and present work regularly to category and R&D teams
Work closely with Engineering to ensure design intent, develop specifications, and validate prototypes
Create support materials for Intellectual Property (IP) activities, instruction manuals, and informative labels
Apply user experience design knowledge to both physical and digital solutions
Actively apply UI/UX design skills to advance IOT initiatives Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Industrial Design
2+ years of industrial design experience (Salary will be commensurate with experience)
Experience using Adobe Suite, Sketchbook Pro, 3D CAD and Rendering Software
Sketching experience
Experience working with projects that have been commercialized
Experience working with Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Portfolio demonstrating industrial design skills
Portfolio demonstrating UI/UX design skills
Knowledge of human factors and ergonomics
Knowledge of Figma or Adobe XD

What Will Put You Ahead

Knowledge of Blender 3D
SolidWorks experience
Understanding of injection molding
