Job description
The Web Strategy team at Slack is looking for a customer-obsessed and data-driven search engine optimization (SEO) leader to drive SEO strategy, research, and implementation for our customer-facing website. You will lead SEO tactical implementation for the Slack Marketing Team. Delivering on the SEO strategies supporting non-paid traffic acquisition efforts, setting the standard for SEO efforts globally. You will be working with strategic partners across both technical and creative disciplines, and earn the trust of partners. You will use a mix of new content and optimization tactics to deliver on daring organic search traffic goals. As a critical part of the team, you will have the opportunity to improve both the Self-Serve and Sales-Led experience on the Slack website, impacting millions of visitors monthly. You will promote SEO best practices throughout the organization, allowing Slack's new user acquisition to scale efficiently globally!
An authority in SEO, content marketing, and web development practices with an outstanding grasp of emerging trends in generative AI, content automation, and personalization. Experience implementing multi-language, multi-regional SEO strategies, accounting for SEO localization guidelines and differences in local search behavior. The SEO Strategist relentlessly advocates SEO and content marketing best practices and educates internal partners as well as external customers!
You are an inspiring leader in the space, responsible for setting the standard across the Salesforce organization through case studies, thought leadership pieces, etc.
Understanding how Content, CRO, UX, Performance Marketing, Web Analytics, and Marketing Automation work together to improve candidate journeys.
Developing standard methodologies for data-driven, candidate-centric web marketing, with a strong consideration for local optimization marketing channels across various languages to drive organic growth.
Diving into issues and incidents as they occur and performing ad hoc analysis to tackle or flag issues.
Providing technical SEO requirements for multi-regional, multi-language enterprise web properties and interfacing closely with development and engineering teams.
Pursuing opportunities for untapped non-paid traffic generation tactics and working with the rest of the marketing team to develop innovative and effective marketing campaigns
Defining SEO standards and presenting SEO results to leadership.
Crafting reporting frameworks to supervise performance and drive digital efficiencies.
7+ years working directly in SEO, with high-traffic website experience (B2B SaaS preferred).
Expertise in technical, content, link building, local, off-page, and mobile SEO.
Experience working with content marketing, website development, website migrations, UX, and personalization.
Experience with major CMS platforms, analytics platforms, and tools like Google Search Console.
