We are seeking a proactive and strategic Key Account Manager to become an integral member of our client’s expanding UK Sales team. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of crucial accounts, particularly within the Garden and Leisure sectors, and actively participating in the ongoing expansion of business within the UK. Collaborating closely with buyers and their teams, you will formulate both short and long-term strategies to boost sales across diverse product categories. Your primary objectives will include capitalising on nationwide opportunities, ensuring an appealing retail presentation, and upholding the highest standards for branding and in-store execution.

Responsibilities

•Cultivating robust relationships with house accounts to effectively manage a portfolio, fostering substantial growth in partnerships.
•Proactively identifying opportunities for growth and brand awareness within partnerships to unlock the full retail potential.
•Sustaining a formidable market presence through regular visits to customers and stores, closely monitoring account activity, and optimising the display of products.
•Ensuring efficient and effective operations and logistics by collaborating closely with customers, actively seeking ways to enhance working processes.
•Confidently presenting and preparing new collections to key accounts and buyers.
•Providing comprehensive sales and stock reporting.
•Participating in UK trade shows to stay updated on industry trends and network with relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Demonstrate a track record in wholesale sales/account management, preferably in the Garden & Leisure sector, or possess a basic understanding of this industry.
• Display innate organisational skills, effective communication, and confidence in preparing and delivering client presentations.
• Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, with the capability to interpret, forecast, and communicate financial projections.
• Exhibit creative problems-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities.
• Serve as a brand ambassador.
