Responsibilities
- Schedule initial and follow-up appointments for patients undergoing LASIK and other refractive surgeries
- Follow up with prospective patients to answer any questions, provide cost estimates, and schedule consultation appointments
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical team to ensure seamless patient experience
- Educate patients on preoperative and postoperative instructions, including medication use and restrictions
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete patient records in electronic medical records system
- Handle patient concerns and complaints in a professional manner and escalate as necessary
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of medical office experience required, experience in elective (cosmetic, dentistry, laser vision correction) scheduling preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology, procedures, and pharmacology
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make sound judgments
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with physicians and clinical staff
