Join our dynamic team as a Pharmacy Authorization Specialist in the realm of Pt B Pharmacy. As a valued member, you'll play a crucial role in assisting our esteemed clients and healthcare providers, including physicians, with inquiries related to Medicare Part B drug coverage and prior authorizations.

Top 3 Required Skills/Experience:

2-4 years of experience in Specialty and/or Retail Pharmacy.
Proven expertise in a provider/member call center or helpdesk setting.
Proficient in processing prior authorization requests.
Required Skills/Experience (Additional):

In-depth knowledge of specialty prescription drug names, NDC drug codes, therapeutic classes, and claims processing is highly preferred.
Previous experience in a Call Center or Helpdesk role.
Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with providers and members.
Analytical proficiency in evaluating written, faxed, and verbal inquiries, leading to the accurate entry of medical authorizations into our user-friendly online provider-facing web tool.
Preferred Skills/Experience:

Experience with Prior Authorization specifically for Pt B specialty medications.
Familiarity with NOC drug pricing and Medicare Guidelines and Timeframes.
Understanding of pharmacy and/or medical claims processing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
Education/Certifications:

High School Graduate or GED equivalent required; Two (2) years of college preferred.
Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB) is a plus.
Work Environment:

This position offers the flexibility of full remote work.
Occasional on-site work may be required in client locations if internet or system issues arise.
As part of our Pharmacy Helpdesk, you'll handle incoming and outgoing calls from both members and providers, necessitating a designated, noise-free workspace conducive to protecting PHI (Protected Health Information). Join us in making a positive impact on healthcare delivery!
