Sr. Visual Designer | About You
As a Sr. Visual Designer, you are responsible for creating exceptional digital experiences. You will lead and execute design projects from concept to completion. You excel in crafting visually appealing, intuitive interfaces and deeply understand graphic design principles. Your expertise extends beyond traditional UX roles, focusing on the visual and aesthetic aspects of digital products. You thrive in ambiguous environments and are passionate about enhancing user experiences through impactful design.
Sr. Visual Designer | Day-to-Day
- Create and deliver visually stunning designs,
emphasizing accessibility, responsive design, and cross-platform
compatibility.
- Establish conceptual, basic, and detailed designs for
capital projects.
- Perform in-depth reviews of contracted designs for
technical accuracy using various methodologies to gather insights and
inform design decisions.
- Feed process knowledge into the process design,
utilizing tools such as modeling, historical data, technical reports, and
industry literature.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, ensuring
design solutions align with business objectives and user needs.
- Evaluate and enhance existing digital products with a
focus on visual design and user interaction.
- Lead and inspire a design-focused culture, fostering
creativity and innovation within the team.
Sr. Visual Designer | Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in visual design, with 5+ years
in a leadership role and a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in
creating visually compelling and user-friendly designs.
- Mastery of design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative
Suite, InVision, Figma, etc.
- Proven experience leading design projects and teams,
with the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
- A solid understanding of graphic design principles,
typography, color theory, and user-centered design practices.
- Establish user requirements and qualification plans to
ensure that the equipment/system is appropriate for the intended purpose.
- Experience in Agile methodology, with a preference for
candidates who have worked in start-up environments and are adept at
navigating uncertainty.
- Proficiency in web technologies like CSS, HTML, and
JavaScript, and familiarity with frameworks like Bootstrap and Angular are
preferred but not required.
Candidates are encouraged to provide a portfolio that showcases their expertise and accomplishments in visual/UI design.
