Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer. You will prepare radiological area, equipment, contrast materials and supplies, as needed for patients. Performs typical tasks as listed above for special procedures with diagnostic and interventional radiography in Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Mammography; and performs additional related tasks, as applicable to this type of assignment.
Job Description
- Supervises the delivery of radiological services, in accordance with established standards and procedures, for the service area or unit.
- Recommends changes and improvements relating to the delivery of radiological services.
- Participates in the development of training programs for radiographic personnel, ancillary personnel, and allied health care professionals. Demonstrates new or revised techniques, procedures, and equipment.
- May perform radiologic procedures, as required.
- Performs special procedures including diagnostic and interventional radiography (e.g., C.T., M.R.I., and Mammography).
- Recommends area assignment of personnel to coordinate activities within the department with other activities and services and represents the department in interdepartmental operations and meetings.
- Participates in quality assurance activities, including coordination, control and maintenance of technical equipment.
- Participates in and coordinates procurement and storage of supplies and makes recommendations regarding supply and equipment needs.
- Performs research and participates in special projects involving evaluation of equipment and delivery of service.
- May be assigned duties and responsibilities of immediate Supervisor in their absence on a temporary basis.
Skills Required
- 1-year General Radiographer experience.
Education/Training/Certifications
- A valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by the NYSDOH required.
- BLS preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Malpractice Insurance - All clinical workers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice. A copy must be provided prior to start of assignment. All clinical workers licensed by the state of NY are required to provide.
- Shift Time: 12 Midnight to 8am with alternating weekends.
Pay Rate
- $62.50 per hour
