Recruiter Hustle is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our client company’s growing team. Our client company is a growing $400M global technology manufacturer.
In this dynamic role, you'll play a pivotal role in designing and developing our core data infrastructure. You'll collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to define the data model, integrate external systems with Foundry, and create data pipelines that transform raw data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a comprehensive data model based on business requirements and available data sources.
- Integrate new data sources into Foundry using Data Connection.
- Develop robust data pipelines using PySpark or Pipeline Builder to transform and enrich data.
- Implement data quality checks and monitor pipelines for performance optimization.
- Collaborate with application developers to provide data engineering expertise and context.
- Identify opportunities to leverage data for the creation of interactive operational workflows.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in Data Engineering with a strong understanding of data modeling principles.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark (or a willingness to learn quickly).
- Experience with SQL querying languages (join types, filtering, aggregation) and data modeling concepts.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with TypeScript or a willingness to learn.
- Experience in building two-way integrations between systems.
- Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks like Hadoop and Spark.
- Familiarity with relational databases and popular systems (SAP, Salesforce, etc.)
- Understanding of UX design best practices and data quality principles.
