POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director of Safety and Security Services, the Safety and Security Coordinating Manager supports the Director in all aspects of the functions associated with the Office of Safety and Security Services and acts for the Director in his/her absence. The incumbent of this position will assist in managing daily activities and operations of the staff involved in the safety and security of schools and facilities throughout the school system. The Coordinating Manager will assist the Director in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives and will supervise assigned personnel working in Safety and Security Services.

This is an Executive Grade 2 Position

Salary Range:$107,040-$201,635

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in law enforcement, police science, public administration, police administrations or a related field required; Masters degree preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of previous experience in school security, law enforcement or a closely related field required.

C ERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

None required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversees and provides guidance and direction to the unit staff.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read handwritten or typed material, the ability to adjust focus, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally push or lift up to 25 lbs.
