What the Production Supervisor will do:

The Production Supervisor at Baja Designs/sPOD provides high-level oversight, management, and direction to our Production department. Key responsibilities include effectively managing workflow by scheduling production to meet daily requirements, overseeing kitting process, runners, ensuring quality, speed, accuracy in production assembly, and implementing robust quality assurance processes to maintain compliance with standards. Additionally, the Production Supervisor anticipates and addresses future departmental needs related to staffing, space, equipment, and process improvements.

Essential Job Duties:

• Manage departmental personnel including assemblers, runners, leads, wiring, and parts bags personnel.
• Implement cross-training initiatives based on lean principles to enhance flexibility and efficiency.
• Utilize NetSuite and other systems to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to identify and resolve bottlenecks in production processes.
• Maintain optimal staffing levels and liaise with HR for necessary job requisitions.
• Coordinate with Purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of equipment and materials.

Requirements:

• 2 years of Supervisory experience
• Previous experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in NetSuite strongly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive process improvements and take initiative.
