Overview General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems are currently seeking a Contract Specialists 2 to represent and safeguard the company's interests with regard to proposal and activities with customers concerning contracts for purchase or sale of materials, products, or service.
Responsibilities - Administers contract activities to ensure that assigned proposals and contracts with the US Government and other customers are in compliance with all requirements.
- Provides the customer with the official vehicle for both 1) receiving contracts, contract changes, and notification and 2) issuing the Government contract status, including contract or pricing information, schedule, and performance data for OTS contracts.
- Negotiates, supports, fact finds and audits contract and proposal activities.
- Reviews proposals to identify terms and conditions including required certifications and representatives
- Monitors all program changes to ensure contract compliance and / or contract renegotiations are addressed.
- Prepares and / or provides ad hoc reports for executive management use.
- Monitors invoice payments and supports timely payment of invoices.
- Reviews new contracts and contract changes orders for conformity to proposal requirements; Responsible to resolve any discrepancies; executes acknowledgement and all associated documentation.
- Enters new contracts and contract change orders into MAXCIM; executes all associated documentation.
- Monitors contract performance.
- Occasional travel and overtime required.

Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in business or related field and 3-5 years related experience.
