About the Role
We are looking for driven, customer service-oriented teammates who are curious about innovative blockchain technology and financial services. In the Notary Specialist role, you will play a key part in the Figure consumer lending process, notarizing documents and learning all things Figure to support our customers.
Key traits for this role are effective communication, problem-solving and attention to detail. These characteristics will contribute to positive outcomes that secure new business initiatives, drive brand engagement and ensure customer success. You will keep Figure accountable to its customers by troubleshooting problems and providing solutions with knowledge and empathy.
What You'll Do
- Act as the direct point of contact for Figure customers as they progress to remote online notarization process (RON) for loan documents.
- Ability to navigate loan operations systems and recognize data discrepancies that require remediation.
- You'll be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving basic audio and visual (AV) issues while conducting the RON process and escalating AV issues as needed.
- Additionally, you'll be responsible for assisting in identifying root causes, issue resolution, complaint escalation when notarizing loan documents.
- You will be responsible for clearly and accurately annotating actions taken in the loan files.
- You will be responsible for staying up to date on all of Figure's HELOC product, services and internal resources, to ensure that you can provide accurate and timely support to customers when completing the RON process.
- Communicate and coordinate transitions and hand-offs to the Customer Care Team regarding requests for outreach to an applicant when clarification is requested by the customer.
- Identify and Partner with the Customer Success team addressing any discrepancies that are identified while moving the applicants through the signing process.
- Participate in new training and licensing programs to expand the team's capabilities
- Flexibility to work assigned shifts as determined by the needs of the business
What We Look For - 6 months experience in a customer-facing role
- Active Notary License in the State of Nevada
- Able to commute to our Downtown Reno, NV office
- A quick and flexible learning style with the ability to navigate new technology platforms
- A positive and problem-solving approach to customer service
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities
- Ability to instill trust and rapport with customers
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to ongoing refinements in process and structure
- Previous experience in mortgage, financial services or banking a plus

For CO, NY, CA and WA residents, the hourly rate for this position is $19.23/hr with a 15% Bonus and Equity. Actual compensation may vary based on individual candidate experience and location.
