Responsibilities:
- Process weekly multistate payroll.
- Processing wage garnishments, maintain payroll deductions and reconcile monthly insurance payments to deductions.
- Maintain payroll records weekly and employee confidentiality; Status changes, direct deposit information W-4's.
- Enter and report all time to correct jobs and cost codes within the ERP system.
- Check all timesheets for accuracy.
- Research and resolve discrepancies and inquiries regarding payroll.
- Calculate all withholding payroll taxes; ensure the submission of tax payments maintain compliance within the government regulations.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws related to company industry; workers compensation and certified payroll reporting.
- Process expense reports.
- Coordinate with HR, accounting, and other departments to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processes.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.
- Must routinely meet tight deadlines.
- Detailed oriented, with ability to process information with extreme confidentiality.
- Associates Degree in Business or Accounting or relative experience.
- 3+ years of experience in payroll preferred.
