About the role
To capitalize on the market potential, we are seeking to appoint a high performing Business Development Manager for the North America market with a focus on growing our Dry Beverage Business , especially agglomeration technologies. The candidate will partner with the commercial teams and key strategic partners to expand Kerry’s market presence.
Key responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role are summarized below:
- Build pipeline of opportunities and convert to wins.
- Be a technical subject matter expert in Kerry’s Dry Beverage, Agglomeration and Encapsulation technology portfolio for the NA region.
- Research market segments to identify opportunities to grow our business in North America, which might include opportunities outside of Beverage applications.
- Develop robust strategic plans to capitalize on the market potential.
- Build an awareness of Kerry’s presence in relevant categories by:
- Being an ambassador & educator internally within the Kerry organisation.
- Develop cross-functional relationships to execute projects.
- Build strong relationships to drive strategic growth aligned with Kerry’s account management structure.
- Have a sales mindset while effectively partnering with Kerry’s commercial teams and customers to deliver the forecasted revenue targets and build a robust pipeline within Beverage End Use Market and potentially other adjacencies for encapsulation and agglomeration technologies
- Attend trade shows and industry events to generate new leads and gain market insights.
- Partner with marketing and R&D to ensure sales collateral is tailored for the market and perform insight rich customer presentations.
- Partner with sales leaders, customers & R&D to define portfolio gaps and drive innovation.
- Develop market led insights to validate value propositions of the innovation pipeline.
- Identify anchor customers to partner with on innovation opportunities (product launch targets).
- Project manage key initiatives to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and prioritizing.
Qualifications and skills
- The ideal candidate will have excellent industry knowledge as it pertains to dry beverage market (both retail and food service channels) with a strong network of contacts.
- Have a minimum of 5 years business development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Business qualified at Master’s level or above will be an advantage.
- Have a technical aptitude to assess efficacy of the technology in a variety of applications and tailor for commercial success.
- Experience converting technical projects winning with key accounts.
- Strong ability to work via multiple internal stakeholders in a matrix structure.
- Commercially driven with an aptitude and track record for delivering business growth.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and curious mindset to solve problems.
- This position will require approximately 50% travel.
- Have a sales mindset while effectively partnering with Kerry’s commercial teams and customers to deliver the forecasted revenue targets and build a robust pipeline.
