Job description
One of our manufacturing clients in Grand Forks, BC region is looking for a Health & Safety Manager for their facility.
Responsibilities:
Ensure strict adherence to federal, provincial, and local health and safety regulations within the workplace.
Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures to align with industry best practices.
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
Oversee the incident investigation process, including reporting, analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, management, local communities, and regulatory bodies.
Develop and deliver health and safety training programs for employees, ensuring a high level of awareness and compliance.
Develop and implement emergency response plans, and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for unforeseen incidents.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training activities.
Implement strategies for continuous improvement in health and safety performance through data analysis, trend identification, and benchmarking.
Provide regular reports on key health and safety performance indicators to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Accumulate 5 or more years of professional experience in Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment
Thorough comprehension of Federal, Provincial, and local regulations pertaining to Health and Safety
Exhibit strong organizational and analytical skills
Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal communication with keen attention to detail
Showcase problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Display skills in effective communication, data accuracy, and integrity
