You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. Responsibilities:
- Advocate on behalf of clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing the situation and forming a strategy for a plan of action
- Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
- Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgements and orders for a high volume of cases
- Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
- Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
Qualifications:
- Candidate must licensed as an attorney in South Carolina
- At least one- two years of experience working in a law firm preferably on family law issues
- Candidate should be a great negotiator and communicator specifically in high stress situation
- Excellent writing skills
