$2,000 Sign-On bonus

Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday w/ one late day on either Monday or Wednesday.

In partnership with the City of Newport News, the Hampton - Newport News Community Services Board is working to give second chances and the power of rehabilitation. Our Newport News Drug Court Program is at the forefront of alternative sentencing, providing individuals with substance use disorders the opportunity to rebuild their lives while avoiding incarceration. Our mission is to develop each participant into a productive, tax-paying, law-abiding citizen through intensive substance use disorder treatment, frequent drug testing, life skills education, and intensive supervision monitoring.

Key Responsibilities: As a Therapist in our Drug Court Program, you will play a pivotal role in the rehabilitation journey of our participants. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments and evaluations of incoming clients
• Providing individual, group, and family counseling
• Delivering educational sessions to empower clients with essential life skills
• Collaborating with participants to create discharge and aftercare plans
• Managing a predetermined caseload in an outpatient setting

Require ments: Master's Degree in Human Services with one (1) year clinical experience with the assigned population.

Current H-NNCSB employees are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.

The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
