Summary Description
The School is seeking a full-time faculty/staff member to teach Spanish through AP Spanish Language or Literature to Upper School students. We currently have a very collaborative world languages department and offer both French and Spanish. The department teaches a curriculum so that students learn to read, write, speak and listen in their world language as well as understand the cultures of those who speak it. Collaboration with colleagues is essential so as to smoothly transition students through their studies. We look forward to welcoming a new colleague who will continue to foster a positive professional learning environment and encourage a passion for world language study. In addition to teaching, all faculty members serve as advisors to a small group of students
Qualification Requirements
Strong candidates will hold an undergraduate degree in Spanish, Romance Languages or a related field and will have five or more years of teaching experience. It would be highly advantageous to have a master’s degree and / or proficiency in French as well. Our new teacher will need excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
