Job description

Full-time live-in (or live-out) Nanny required for a Greenwich, CT family with an infant (born June 2023) starting Summer 2024. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child-related duties, including playtime, juggling schedules, driving kids to and from activities, meal prep (simple lunch/dinner), and organization with the children's clothing, rooms, and toys. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone who is proactive, organized, and honest. The parents want someone who will truly partner alongside them and be someone their children can love and look up to. The ideal candidate is active and energetic, level-headed, experienced, and knowledgeable with newborn and toddler milestones. 

The family is looking for a long-term commitment in a growing family dynamic. June-August will be spent in the Hamptons while September-May will be in Greenwich, CT. Travel (both domestic and international) is expected. Candidates must have a clean driving record and be comfortable with driving. The family welcomes out-of-state candidate interest. 

Location: Greenwich, CT // Sag Harbor, NY

Start date: BN/NCS in place through June, family would like a transition period of at least 2 weeks. Ideal start date is June (beginning in the Hamptons)

Days/times: Ideally, nanny will be on Monday through Friday; typical daily hours will be 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM but must be flexible for earlier/later days, date nights, etc. 

Children: One son (born June 2023)

Conditions: $78,000 plus sick/personal days, vacation and public holidays. Family will reimburse for health insurance (at agreed upon price.) Housing in Greenwich will eventually include a private guest house with kitchen and all utilities paid.

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

• Authorization to work in the US
• A clean driving record
• A minimum of 5 years experience as a nanny, 5-10 years preferred
• A well-suited demeanor for working children 
• Strong infant and toddler experience
• Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
• Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
• An open and flexible schedule
• Ability/interest to travel with the family
• Ability to complete all child-related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc)
• A clean background to pass our comprehensive background check and social media checks
• Comfortable in a pet friendly environment (family has 2 cats)
• First Aid and CPR trained and certified
