The Analytical & Criminal Investigative Services Section (ACISS) is responsible for providing law enforcement agencies with tactical and strategic intelligence research and analysis and operational support for criminal investigations and threat mitigation. The analytical component is entrusted with detailed law enforcement sensitive information relating to ongoing criminal investigations, which requires maintaining the highest level of security and confidentiality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in part)
You’ll be entrusted to:
Coordinate with ACISS program staff and various local, state, and federal agencies regarding analytical support and strategic information acquisition and distribution.
Ensure operational effectiveness and efficiency, and compliance with department, state, and federal rules, procedures and laws governing criminal intelligence and other classified law enforcement information.
Establish and maintain key partnerships to include law enforcement and critical infrastructure sector partners.
Collect, gather, and evaluate criminal intelligence information as needed for completion of assigned intelligence projects.
Review literature on international, national, state, and local data to evaluate trends and provide predictive information.
Maintain and query databases, spreadsheets, and automated computer programs as needed or required to perform analytical duties.
Present oral and/or written briefings on strategic analysis of mission specific intelligence products or criminal activity; develop visual graphs and charts to support findings.
Give testimony at administrative hearings, in courts of law, and before grand juries.
Provide training to law enforcement agencies and other analysts on new and existing or analytical techniques, procedures and processes directly related to strategic intelligence tradecraft.
Provide leadership and mentoring for ACISS staff and partner agencies in pursuit of the highest level of support to Oregon and the national homeland security enterprise.

.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's Degree in any disciplines that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods and procedures, and three years experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports. Two of the three years must have included coordinating complex research projects.

Five years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare narrative or statistical reports. Two of the five years must have included coordinating complex research projects.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Homeland Security secret clearance.
Must pass a computerized criminal history and driver and motor vehicle services check, as well as clear a comprehensive background investigation and employment check (Criminal Justice Division and FBI).
Work experience is based on a 40-hour work week. (Example: 20 hours a week for one year would equal six-months of work experience.)
Finalists must be U.S. Citizens and will be subject to a computerized Criminal History and Driver and Motor Vehicle Services check as well as a thorough background investigation. Adverse background data may be grounds for immediate disqualification.
DESIRED AND REQUESTED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Preferred experience with Critical Infrastructure Systems/Awareness.
Experience in emergency operations and incident command systems.
Skill in conducting or contributing to risk and/or threat assessments or reports.
Experience in providing high level mission briefings to elected officials and key stakeholders.
Experience working with Criminal Intelligence information and/or suspicious activity reports.
Experience compiling data to support investigations.
Skill in collaborating with other agencies or stakeholders toward a common goal.
Experience identifying and reporting trends based on your research.
Ability to provide training and presentations to law enforcement and critical infrastructure agencies.
Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Teams, MS Access, MS SharePoint and MS PowerPoint.
Proficiency in ArcGIS.
