CREDENTIALS: High School Diploma or GED. Experience working with children, gardening, food and Fann to School a plus.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Should have proven experience in farming. Should possess a strong knowledge of sustainable fanning practices. Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, digging, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. Physical requirements of this position arc exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently

PRIMARY DUTIES: Assist in the day -to-day Farm to School Program activities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in the daily operations of the Farm to School Program
• Help coordinate farm to school classes/activities with teachers and staff
• Assist in planting, harvesting, watering, weeding, mowing, and composting
• Assist in maintaining the greenhouses and irrigation
• Keeps gardens watered, replenished, and free from weeds
• Keep aquaponic towers clean and replenished
• Perform other duties as assigned

STAFF RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Nutrition Supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Part-time 12-Month Schedule, Non-Exempt
