We are looking for a talented Senior Manager, Product Management to join our team specializing in Marketing for the Components Business Segment in Florence, KY.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Manages key product line lifecycles. Understands and interprets market and industry trends. Leads the marketing initiatives for new product introduction and existing product change introduction.
Develops the long-term product line strategy, forecast, and annual operating plan.
Provides product line budget requirements into the business unit's annual operating plan.
Drives the development of product introduction plans.
Develops all aspects of the marketing mix to ensure the successful launch of new products throughout the subsequent lifecycle.
Presents marketing approach for functional review and to the change management review group.
Drives pricing activity throughout the product lifecycle.
Drives available marketing resources and uses those resources appropriately and as needed.
Ensures that the product branding strategy is implemented effectively, and leads and supports internal and external communications in relation to the product range.
Protects intellectual property of the organization, and works with legal counsel and engineering to ensure asset protection.
Uses market research capabilities to plan for and implement an appropriate approach based on the understanding of Cummins’ target market and competitors.
Defines and adopts, in the target market, a specific stance relative to the competition using market research capabilities.
Drives improvement of customer satisfaction and solves elevated customer issues about products.
Drives management of the product lifecycle; determines when products should be deemed obsolete.
Develops, implements, and measures results of product promotions.
Collaborates with other functions and global locations to ensure global profitability of the product line.
Recommends marketing process changes that will improve Value Package Introduction and Value Package Change processes.
Develops work plans for Product Managers and Associate Product Managers to deliver product line results; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, technical, or a related subject required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Responsibilities
Lead their direct and cross-functional teams to innovate and grow current product lines, and launch new product lines that complement our current portfolio and capabilities as an organization, including product line depth, breadth, and full content.
Work through the Product Management organization to achieve savings targets by partnering with the Direct Material Optimization and Purchasing teams through inventory and cost optimization initiatives.
Analyze and evaluate market trends to develop focused, segment-based product and sales strategies to achieve growth targets and projections across all channels of the business.
Manage and continuously measure the sales opportunity pipeline throughout all stages of the portfolio.
Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align strategies and activities focused on achieving maximum results.
Lead marketing efforts and collaborate with Marketing Communications in support of strategic product launch and growth efforts.
Engage and lead cross-functional teams to ensure product launch targets, and timelines are quantified, prioritized, communicated, and tracked effectively.
Develop and provide analytics and metrics that measure the overall effectiveness of strategic product and sales initiatives to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.
Provides primary pricing strategy/market analysis and guidance to ensure competitive position and accuracy for annual and mid-year price adjustments.
Provide cross-functional communication of product, sales, and marketing initiatives.
Provide inputs into forecasting, planning, and overall inventory management process, continuously evaluating for optimization opportunities and assisting with the elimination of excess, surplus, and obsolete inventories across respective product lines.
