West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, Anatomy & Laboratory Medicine (PALM) seeks a Subspecialty Pathologist , open-rank (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) in the clinician-track to meet the needs of our rapidly expanding Health System. Specialty areas of interest include but are not limited to breast pathology, gynecologic pathology and cytopathology . The successful candidate is expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

Duties : The successful candidate will join our existing pathology faculty and have the opportunity to practice within a specialty-based system. Active involvement in teaching our medical students, residents, and fellows is required. Additional responsibilities and leadership roles will be considered based on a candidate's interests, skills, and experience.

Qualifications : Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree, be board certified/eligible in AP or AP/CP and have successfully completed a fellowship in a surgical pathology specialty or have substantial experience signing out specialty case material. Candidates must be eligible to obtain a state medical license at the time of employment.

About the Department : WVU PALM is a growing department consisting of faculty in AP, CP, Translational Pathology, Anatomical Sciences and Medical Laboratory Sciences. Clinical AP services are supported by advanced Digital Pathology and Telepathology systems, and state-of-the-art ancillary testing (IHC, cytogenetics, FISH, NGS) is performed onsite. Faculty research activities are supported by the PALM Tissue Bank, Research Histology Lab, Brain Bank and the Rapid Development Laboratory.
