Matrix Providers is seeking a Clinical Psychologist (BHOP) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado.
We strive to provide a framework of stability and structure for our valued Clinical Psychologists, where you will experience lower provider-to-patient ratios and fair, reliable schedules.
* Setting: Behavioral Health, Outpatient
* Role: Provide counseling in a short-term treatment environment
* Compensation: $55.00 to $80.00 per hour
* Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30PM
* 40 hours per week
* No nights, no weekends

Clinical and Therapeutic Responsibilities:
* Responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidenced-based therapies, and limited psychological testing/psycho-diagnostic testing, in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological and neuropsychological disorders.
* Conduct more comprehensive psychological evaluations to address complex diagnostic and treatment issues.
* Conduct individual, family, and group psychotherapy, couples therapy, alcohol, and drug treatment evaluations.
* Consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, military commanders, and school districts, as required.
* Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
* Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
* Assist in the rehabilitation of patients.
Professional Meetings and Training:
* Attend and participate in meetings during normal duty hours and professional staff conferences, including Quality Improvement meetings, professional staff meetings, Commander's staff meetings, Mental Health Flight meetings, and others required by applicable regulations, MTF guidance, or as directed by the Mental Health Flight Commander or designated representative.
* Participate in military-specific training (e.g., training to perform Command Directed Evaluations, security clearances, Military Training Instructor clearances, pre-post deployment screening, PTSD, and combat stress).
Research and Documentation:
* Conduct applied research and clinical investigations in clinical/behavioral health psychology.
* Maintain accurate and current notes in both the Mental Health records of all patients seen, as appropriate, and produce reports of evaluation and/or treatment, as required.
* Diagnostic and Evaluation Responsibilities:
* Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate.
* Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
Qualifications for Clinical Psychologist Position:
* Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
* Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association-accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
* Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship in psychology
* accredited by the American Psychological Association.
* Experience: 2 years of professional experience in working in an outpatient mental health clinic
* Licensure: Current, complete, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.
