Hourly Pay Range: $19.075055 - $23.835541
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.
Seasonal status employees are not eligible to receive benefits, except for Employee Assistance Program (EAP) benefits. Employees will accrue one (1) hour of sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked with a maximum accrual of eighty (80) hours per year.

We are looking to hire up to 22 hardworking and motivated individuals as Seasonal Park Assistants to provide excellent customer service, perform landscaping, janitorial, and other tasks in order to protect, maintain, operate and repair County parks lands and facilities, and be a positive presence in the parks.
This work is on a temporary basis for the summer season with most positions ending by September 30th.
Due to the nature of the position, punctuality and attendance are critical to the success of the team and the department. Additionally, it is critical to be committed to working through the entire duration of the season.

KEY TRAITS & CHARACTERISTICS FOR SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Position requires frequent standing, walking, squatting, bending, kneeling, twisting, and repetitive forward and overhead reaching. Occasional duties may require ability to lift/carry 100 lbs. and push objects weighing up to 90 lbs. Duties involve exposure to inclement weather, noise, dust, chemicals, fumes and continuous work around moving machinery.
This position works in a County department that is open 7-days a week, 365-days a year. Shifts for this position include evenings, weekends and holidays. Full-time positions work up to 40 hours during a work week. A limited number of part-time positions are available. Part-time positions work up to 20 hours during a work week. Seasonal employees will collaborate with their supervisors to establish their work schedule.
Please Note: This position is designated as on-site/in-person. It is expected that the selected candidate will perform duties at the specified on-site work location.
