Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer - Structural to join a dynamic organization. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for the analysis and design of various marine and oil & gas structures and systems. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and will have a proven track record in the oil and gas and marine sectors.
Position Overview
- Lead the design of various marine and oil & gas structures and systems.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with industry guidelines and regulations.
- Identify and implement innovative designs, technologies, and methods.
- Maintain close working relationships with clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the design team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structural design plans, specifications, and calculations.
- Analyze and correct any design errors.
- Perform structural analysis, using advanced software.
- Manage the design and development process from concept to completion.
- Prepare and review technical reports and documents.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Provide technical support to other departments.
- Maintain close relationships with clients, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering, preferably in the oil and gas and/or marine industries.
- Strong knowledge of industry guidelines and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
