Director – Material Development, Innovation & New Technology

Location: Milpitas, CA

The company is the world's leading power semiconductor development group who are looking to add a Director to oversee the work being done by the company's New Material Development, Innovation and New Technology Team in California.

For this role, you will essentially be leading the development of a meaningful technology roadmap for advanced development projects related to materials development and innovation. This is a permanent role that will need to be worked in California.

Focus of role:

• Responsible for all Innovation and Technology Projects as well as all Material Development Projects in the business group
• Lead the Advanced and Material Development team in Milpitas, Shanghai and Dongguan
• Identify major technology trends and how they can be used to the benefit of the BU
• Monitor innovation within the group, as well as IP be generated by the team

Requirements for role:

• 10+ years experience in circuit protection and sensor industry
• Strong technical background, ideally at device level (hands-on working experience)
• Experience working in semiconductor industry
• Proven background leading new technology development, IP generation and driving technology road map development
• Experience leading international engineering and development teams
• Experience dealing across US, European and Asia technology markets
• Willing to travel 20% of the time
