Job Description

The Student Respiratory Tech is responsible for performing cardiopulmonary duties by hospital policy, under the supervision of a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist. Responsibilities may include administering respiratory treatments, providing low-flow oxygen, conducting EKGs, processing equipment, and ensuring adequate stocking of supplies. This role requires a commitment to maintaining a high level of customer service representation and active participation in the continuous quality improvement process.

Education :


High School Diploma plus 1-year vocational school

Licenses and Certifications:

* ACLS Certification

* Healthcare Provider (CPR)

Qualifications

* Enrolled in an AMA-accredited school for Respiratory Therapy.

* Must become ACLS certified within 8 months of employment.

* Must have completed the first full year of an Accredited Respiratory Therapy Program before employment.

* Letter from the Accredited Respiratory Program student attends verifying competency.
