Non licensed Clinicians:$65,000-$70,000
Licensed staff $70,000-$75,000
The Triage Clinician will implement a system for triaging requests for service, in collaboration with the team, to determine the most appropriate response to individuals in crisis, and assist individuals by helping them identify and access resources for treatment.

Master's Degree
- Implement, and maintain a triage system for all requests for service made to CBHC, including Same Day Access (SDA), Urgent Care and Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI).
- Determine the most appropriate response to clients in crisis in collaboration with the team.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems; provide other clinicians with managed care information and resources pertinent to the crises being managed.
- Provide shift reports to other team members so that clinicians are updated regarding pending cases, Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) availability, and requests for service.
- Provide information on community resources, treatment and providers, and referral services to individuals.
- Assist with obtaining insurance pre-certification for all levels of intervention and treatment.
- Assist in responding to customer service inquiries.
- Assist in managing medical records requests, and releases of information in collaboration with program director.
- Assist in the billing of crisis intervention services.
- Maintain necessary documentation, statistics, and clinical records in accordance with program requirements.
- Assist in maintenance and management of electronic health record database.
- Develop a working knowledge of the internal billing procedures and managed care requirements.
- Remain alert at all times throughout the scheduled shift.
- Master’s Degree in social work, counseling, or related field. Eligible for licensure in Massachusetts in social work or allied mental health. Master’s degree and 5 years related experience may be substituted for license eligible degree.
- Two years of mental health or emergency service experience preferred.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
- Ability to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees and providers.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to read and speak English.
- Sensitivity to the needs of the population.

- High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere.
- Must have valid driver’s license and access to auto.
