Job description

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a part-time Associate Program Director (APD) for the Pediatric residency program, which will require a 0.2 FTE (8 hours/week) commitment to the role. As an Associate Program Director, our ideal candidate will play a key role in the administration of the Department’s educational and clinical programs. The APD will help to oversee from an administrative and oversight perspective many aspects in which house staff participate in the delivery of care, ensuring that the educational objectives of the Residency Program are fulfilled and that, at the same time, the care provided is safe and of the highest quality.

This role works closely with the Program Director and Vice Chair of Pediatric Education and the Chief Residents to provide support, guidance, and innovation for the pediatric residency program and also provide mentorship and oversight of all residents and program related activities. Working closely with the highly skilled program staff, the APD will help ensure the highest quality pediatric residency program. The APDs activities in this role should serve as an attraction to recruit future house staff interested in pediatric primary care, which will ultimately enrich our residency program, institution, and elevate the care we provide to our community. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.
