Description
We have partnered with a technology firm on their search for a detail-oriented AP Specialist with proven Microsoft Excel skills. The responsibilities for this role will consist of processing vendor invoices, monitoring cash flow, assisting with coding of invoices, verifying and updating vendor accounts, weekly check runs, entering journal entries, processing general ledger reconciliations, analyzing accounts payable transactions for accuracy, preparing documents for audits, and resolving accounts payable discrepancies. Ideally, we are seeking an AP Specialist who can perform day to day financial transactions utilizing their knowledge of best practices in accounting and bookkeeping.
Primary Responsibilities
· Oversee full accounts payable cycle
· Code invoices and match purchases
· Prepare check runs, via ACH and wire transfer
· Employee expense report processing
· Process cash receipts
· Implement process improvement
· Resolve invoice discrepancies
· Prepare financial reports and statements
· Reconcile AP statements
· Perform accounting research
RequirementsThe ideal AP Specialist will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the AP Specialist role include and are not limited to:
· 6+ years of full cycle AP experience
· Strong Excel (Creating spreadsheets, manipulating data, pivot tables)
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook
