Veterinarian Externship

Hanover Animal Hospital

Location

Mechanicsville, VA | United States

Job description

Rarebreed Veterinary Partners focus on building trusted, lasting relationships with our partners and teams. We have a broad network of practices that values healthcare teams, provides compassionate care, and offers the innovation and tools necessary for them to grow – and most important, be happy. We believe that if we treat healthcare teams as our most important priority, they will thrive at work and focus on what they love doing most – caring for pets and their owners.

Hanover Animal Hospital was founded in 1992 and first located in Hanover Commons Shopping Center. In May 2001, a new facility was built. The new building boasts an ample reception area, four exam rooms, isolation, a surgery suite equipped with a laser, a large treatment area, radiology room and digital x-ray system, and boarding kennels for cats and dogs. Pet services include routine exams and vaccines, surgery, dental, radiology, therapeutic laser, and even special offers like euthanasia, cremation through a local crematory, referrals to obedience trainers, hospitalization and isolation facilities.

We love working with Veterinary Students!

Our focus is to welcome you, as the next generation of veterinarians, into our hospitals. We focus on your goals and work closely with you and the hospital teams to insure that your clinical goals are accomplished under veterinarian supervision and we meet your needs.

We want you to improve and apply your skills of clinical skills, problem-solving and communication skills. Externs are encouraged to participate in all aspects of patient care and case discussion. In many cases as an extern with us, you will be participating in wet labs, clinical skills labs and medical rounds.

Requirements:
