Competitive Pay and Benefits The Accounts Payable Clerk will provide support to the Finance Department and perform Accounts Payable functions. Accounts Payable Clerk Responsibilities:
- Process invoices for payment from multiple company locations: match to packing slips, match to purchase orders, and code to proper general ledger account.
- Print and mail accounts payable checks or process ACH’s.
- Perform data entry and spreadsheet management.
- Maintain accounts payable files and records.
- Respond to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check request; assists with discrepancy resolution.
- Assist with annual audit, pulling requested items.
- Assist with preparation annual 1099’s while ensuring throughout the year that new vendors are set up properly with W-9 information.
- Assist with journal entries as needed.
- Backup to Accounts Receivable – cross trained to post payments.
- Assist with related special projects as needed.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Accounts Payable Clerk Requirements: - One-year certificate from college or technical school, six months to one year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Manufacturing background preferred.
- Able to handle a high volume of invoices at one given time.
- 3-way match experience.
- Familiar with cost centers and departments.
- Familiar with AP automation.
